  Kayvon Homayoun is a successful real estate entrepreneur with thriving ventures in property management and general contracting. He graduated from U.N.L.V. in 2000 and started his career as the beverage manager at Hotel Del Coronado before discovering his passion for real estate. Kayvon obtained his real estate license in 2002 and his broker's license soon after, becoming sought after by several national banks for assistance in liquidating their foreclosure inventory during the housing crisis. As a top-performing real estate agent, Kayvon ranked among the top 2% in sales volume nationally.

  In 2005, Kayvon founded Harland Property Management, focusing on property management for residential and multi-family properties. As the business grew, he recognized the need for reliable construction and maintenance services, obtaining his general contractor's license in 2020. He founded Octo Property, a maintenance and general contracting firm that provides exceptional services to clients, including large firms like Zillow, Curbio, and Opendoor. Kayvon is an astute entrepreneur who capitalizes on opportunities in industries lacking proper services and delivers exceptional services to his clients. He has also worked as an expert witness in property management legal cases, highlighting his expertise and knowledge in the industry.

  Devon began her journey with the company as an Assistant Property Manager. Her leadership, dedication, and understanding of property management best practices led to her advancement, and she is now our Lead Property Manager. She graduated from Washington State University (WSU) with a double major in Marketing and Business Management, a foundation that has greatly influenced her approach to property management, communication, and team development.

  Before joining Harland, Devon owned and operated a successful marketing agency. Her background in branding, digital strategy, and client relations provided her with a unique skill set that she now applies within the property management space.

  Devon is known for her proactive approach and her commitment to providing an exceptional experience to both property owners and residents. She is passionate about building strong team culture, implementing modern solutions, and ensuring Harland continues to operate with professionalism, transparency, and innovation.

  Outside of work, Devon enjoys living by the beach, taking morning walks with her puppy, and spending time reading—whether relaxing at home or by the ocean. These daily moments of calm and creativity help fuel her focus and drive in her professional role.

  Is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in 2021. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from CSU San Marcos in 2016 with a degree in Accountancy. Since then, he has built extensive experience auditing homeowners associations (HOAs), giving him strong, practical skills in analyzing and investigating property-related general expenses. He is also deeply committed to his profession—he is fluent in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regularly studies and refines his accounting knowledge.

  Russell is grateful to have chosen a career in property management, finding it fulfilling to help both owners and tenants.

  Carissa is a driven and highly dedicated property management professional known for her leadership and commitment to exceptional resident experiences. She began her career in real estate operations in 2015 where she began as the Receptionist of another Property Management company and quickly excelled into the Maintenance Coordinator position within her first year. She studied Business with a focus in Real Estate at Sacramento City College.

  Upon arrival to San Diego in 2021 she worked as a high performing Leasing Agent promoting to Community Relations Representative in just over a year as she obtained her Real Estate license. Voted the company’s first Employee of the Month for all of the San Diego region in July 2023, she steadily advanced through roles due to her strong organizational skills, reliability, and ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments. During her tenure at Essex, Carissa played an essential part in daily operations, resident relations, and administrative management, consistently delivering results for both her team and the communities she supported.

  In October 2025, Carissa transitioned into a Property Manager role, where she now oversees the full scope of property operations beside Devon. She is experienced in managing leasing activity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strategizing to maintain high occupancy and client satisfaction. Carissa is motivated by the opportunity to create positive, well-run environments and is continually expanding her expertise in the residential property management industry. Her passion for service, strong work ethic, and commitment to operational excellence have earned her a reputation as a dependable and forward-thinking Property Manager.
